New 2020 Peugeot e-Expert electric van prices confirmed

The Peugeot e-Expert panel van is available to order now in three wheelbase sizes and with up to 211 miles of range, with prices starting from £25,053 excluding VAT

Peugeot e-Expert - front

Prices for the Peugeot e-Expert have been revealed, starting from £25,053 before VAT for the company’s answer to the VW ABT e-Transporter and the LEVC VN5. Orders are open now.

Like the combustion engine Expert van range (and the newly-released Citroen E-Dispatch, which is mechanically identical), the e-Expert comes in both crew and panel body styles, and a choice of compact (4.6㎥ of load space with a 2,162mm max load length), standard (5.3㎥ and 2,512mm) and long (6.1㎥ and 2,862mm) wheelbases.

It also comes in three trim levels; S, Professional and Asphalt. Peugeot offers two battery capacities; 50kWh and 75kWh. That starting price is for a standard wheelbase model in S trim, with a 50kWh battery. Standard kit includes DAB radio, Bluetooth, cruise control and a steel bulkhead.

Pre-VAT, the Professional trim represents a £1,097 like-for-like increase over the S model. For the money, it adds a seven-inch touchscreen with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus extra cabin storage, while Peugeot’s “Moduwork” dual passenger seat, complete with fold-up outer seat and a fold-out desk, is also installed.

Available in all three wheelbase sizes and as a crew van, the Professional costs from £25,450 (compact wheelbase) and climbs to £34,070 as a crew van. The larger battery is optional on the standard wheelbase and standard for the long; prices are set at £31,150 (£5,000 more than the 50kWh pack) and £32,050 respectively.

The Asphalt is available as a standard wheelbase panel van and is exclusively equipped with the larger of the two available batteries. Top of the range Asphalt models come standard built-in satellite navigation and a reversing camera, parking sensors all round, a head-up display, lane departure warning and speed limit recognition.

The e-Expert is powered by a 134bhp electric motor regardless of battery size. Based on official WLTP figures, the 50kWh model will achieve up to 148 miles on a single charge, while the larger battery boosts that figure to 211 miles.

100kW rapid charging is possible, allowing the 50kWh model to be charged to 80 percent in 30 minutes. An 11kWh wallbox charger is also compatible. Ideal for when the van is not in use at home or at a depot, this allows the e-Expert’s smaller battery pack to be replenished fully in four hours, 45 minutes.
