Job 5: Changing brakes

Top of the stoppers
Job: Changing brakes
Difficulty: ****
Save: £100

Because brakes are safety-related items, you should only work on them if you’re confident you know what you’re doing. But changing brake pads and shoes isn’t difficult as long as you’re patient and follow the instructions in your manual to the letter. You’ll need to jack the car up and remove the wheels to gain access to the brakes. Using axle stands is advisable.
