Parrot Asteroid Mini

Dash-mounted Asteroid Mini is cheapest of the Parrot trio and looks good value

Dash-mounted Asteroid Mini is cheapest of the Parrot trio and looks good value. However, its screen is trickier to use than the others’ – at 3.2 inches, it’s smaller than many smartphones, and it’s not multi-touch either, so there’s no pinch-to-zoom on the sat-nav app.

Still, you get a chunky remote, which looks as if it’s been lifted straight from the original Asteroid single-height stereo, plus there’s an iPod connection, SD card slot and 3.5mm input. We’d rather spend the extra £100 on the Tablet, with its better remote, more inputs and bigger screen.
