“It may not carry a prestigous badge, but for the money I don't think you can beat it. The Coupe is smooth, quick, easy to drive has a great gearbox and looks stunning.”
Mr Chris Burt - East Sussex
“Brilliant fun to drive don't need to go fast corners like its on rails.”
Mr Russell Morris - Lancashire
“I had a problem with the handbrake where it was weak. My car only had a three-year warranty. On the first MoT I was told I needed a new brake assembly: GBP 500! Then the clutch got very snatchy, caused by uneven wear of clutch plate, cost GBP 1100 but Hyundai Agreed to pay for parts. Then the water pump failed GBP400. If I buy another Hyundai Coupe I'll want the five-year warranty.”
Mr Peter Kamaryc - Surrey
“Great car to drive. Expensive on parts.”
Mr Andy Hibbert - Sheffield
Manufacturer Verdict (Position - 17th)
While Kia's push to become a mainstream car maker is making headway, Hyundai faces a tougher task with its bid to become a marque associated with sporty, prestigious motoring. Moving up three places, it's heading in the right direction. The improvement is no doubt a reflection of the abilities of the latest Santa Fe. The new Ford Focus-rivalling i30 should maintain this momentum next year.
