It’s not been a great year for Audi’s soon-to-be-replaced saloon.

As ever more hit the three-year-old mark, owners are starting to report an increasing number of design and engineering flaws.

Although 19th in the build quality stakes is impressive, 77th for handling and 56th for performance are disappointing for a car that competes head-to-head with BMW’s 5-Series.

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

A solid showing sees Audi hold on to its 11th position. Drivers said their cars were the third best built in the country, while the maker was also in the top 10 in the braking and performance charts.
