| It’s a shame the steering is as low-geared as before and doesn’t provide much feedback, but the ForTwo remains fun to drive. | |

Last Thursday morning,(18,3,2010) i took delivery of a brandnew Smart ForTwo CDI Passion and that little 800cc engine with 31mm turbo is a very refined package.
Apart from start up when there is the telltale diesel clatter the car is vertually silent. and there is no way you would say this is the smallest Turbo Diesel currently available.
When crusing along at around 60mph on the M6 the engine is almost silent and you could be forgiven that this is a petrol and not a diesel.
The interior is right up there with other cars of the Mercedes brand with a upmarket feel to all the controls and interior fitments.
At just over £10,000 the Smart is not a budget citycar but with class leading visibility and strong resale values it's certainly a winner when you come to sell it.
The new Passion comes with a very impressive Pioneer Sat/Nav system which makes finding any European destination a breeze, and with the now famous and copied rev counter and clock ontop of the dashboard, the total package feels very upmarket indeed.
The CDi diesel has world leading emmission figures of 86CO2 and even my car insurance premium came down prabably due to the ease of repair of any Smart due to it's all plastic bodywork.
If you look at every supercar on the road be it Ferrari, Porche, Lambourghini or the lofty Bugatti Veyron, every one of them is a two door two seater coupe which in my opinion makes my little Smart a SUPERCAR aswell.
i got the smart fortwo diesel 6 weeks ago,and i have to say the fuel is not what i thought it would be. i find i have to fill up £30 for a full tank which will only give me about 360miles combined
