I'm having a naughty day-dream, featuring a 500C powered by a 1000cc Ducati-designed and built twin. 150bhp? Why not?
What a day for a day-dream...
I like your dream ThatOne, is there room in there for two?
Actually, I'm rather impressed with the performance figures in the right-hand margin, and with tax exemption and an excellent MPG figure, this little motorcar is looking like a strong proposition. I have a feeling Fiat may have problems with supply and demand sometime soon... :)
It wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to add a low pressure turbo to this engine and still keep the emissions below 100g/km, thus upping the power to somewhere between 100/110bhp. Fuel economy would subsequently drop about 7 to 10mpg of course, but the advantage would also be a drop in the 0-60 figure to around 9 seconds with a subsequent rise in top speed to 117mph approximately... This would make for a very nippy, fun and green little runabout. How about it Abarth??? :D
sgtgrash.....absolutely on the money!!
