I feel the Jazz is a very miss understood car due to its poor looks but this new shuttle is bang on and deserves to be a sucess I would certainly concider this as a second car.
Well done Honda
Honda's designers have managed to turn the well proportioned Jazz into a slightly larger, awkward looking estate cum small people carrier. Why not design a new car to fill whatever niche Honda is aiming this vehicle at?
I'm looking to buy a car completely reliable, hassle free, practical, small and not too expensive, so this fits the bill completely.
Only disappointment is that we need a car with a ski-hatch In the back seat and this doesn't look like it has one, I guess a roof rack will do...
Anyone know of a car with all of the above + a ski hatch?
.. but this car could do well here in the UK since it offers even more space than the amazingly practical, regular Jazz, but Honda, any chance of 'hot' version of the Jazz ...
They've managed to spoil the looks - the basic Jazz is a great looking car. If only they did a diesel, I might be interested.
Why does Honda continue to shoot itself in the foot? It is imperative for a Hybrid in this country to deliver less than 100g/km of emissions. Surely with such an innovative company such as Honda, it isn't beyond the realms of possibility to shave off 5g/km from the Shuttle Hybrids emission figures? The Shuttle is also pig ugly compared to the standard Jazz, which I've always thought to be one of the better looking vehicles in its class.
As a Jazz owner, I don't find the Shuttle ugly. Indeed, looks quite good. Jazz is much maligned by people who have never driven one. The CVT-7 is not that noisy either; where do such comments come from? Indeed, my Jazz Sport with CVT-7 is quieter that the VW Passat 2.0L Petrol I'm often in. The Passat driver, a firm manual gear petrol head, finds the Jazz great to drive - and a lot bigger than imagined. The Shuttle will seem massive! This car was my first auto and I wonder why it took me so long to convert. As long as Brits are NOT shortchanged on spec and NOT overcharged on price + servicing, I think this is a winner. Souped up Jazzes are more common in USA (the Fit), UTube will show you some real flyers but of course, Britain does not like modified cars. We pay the most and receive the least. :((
Yep, I miss having a big car with lots of metal but I do not miss the bills they generate.
The trend for compact load-carriers, such as the Skoda Fabia estate and Renault Clio Sport Tourer, is growing all the time, as families downsize from larger models. The Shuttle is perfectly placed to exploit this, thanks to the hatch’s reputation for reliability, practicality and ease of use. It drives nearly as well as its brother and is almost as efficient, even if it is not as good-looking. We’d go for the petrol model, unless Honda can reduce the hybrid’s emissions to below 100g/km by the time the car arrives in the UK.
