Equally important is the fact that, despite the car's raised ride height and increased suspension travel, it behaves like a front-drive Octavia on the road, with body roll similar to the regular estate's. And even though the 4x4 system adds weight to the load-lugger, the 105bhp 1.9 TDI motor still provides decent performance.

i have owned this model for 3 yrs , nothing but trouble for last 12 mounths,,worst thing was brake disk comming apart on motorway ! advice- do not buy 1.9 tdi 4x4
My Octavia has serious corrosion and the VW group are refusing to repair under corrosion warranty. I will never buy one of these pieces of junk again, only good for Taxis where they do all their mileage in three years before the rot sets in.
