The MPV has extras worth £2,755, including a fixed-glass panoramic roof. There's also sat-nav (normally £1,600) and a CD player with boot-mounted changer (£450). Unique wheel trims look good, while folding electric mirrors help to avoid scratching the standard Navy Blue paint. There are five optional metallic colours to choose from, too.
We drove the 2.2 dCi manual, also available with a £550 Driving Pack. This includes rear parking sensors, tyre-pressure monitors, cruise-control and a speed limiter (the latter pair are standard on autos). A Communication Pack featuring a hands-free telephone and cruise control is the same price.
Suspension and engine settings are unchanged, but then the big Renault was already the most comfortable full-sized MPV around. By offering improved value for money, this special edition only makes it a more attractive proposition.
