Model tested:
Nissan Pathfinder 2.5 dCi Trek
WHY? The recently revamped Pathfinder has a cavernous interior and excellent off-road abilities.
AT A GLANCE: The entry-level Trek doesn’t have the flexibility of other Pathfinders in the range, but it’s still a more practical, accommodating and upmarket family SUV than the Nitro. It’s not as fast as its rival here, but is much better to drive, while strong residual values add to the appeal.
