These are the first official
pictures of Kia's new off-road star. The all-new seven-seater Sorento,
just like the updated cee'd, will make it's European debut at the
Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Longer and lower than the model it replaces, the Sorento features a significantly more spacious and luxurious
interior. But despite growing in size Kia's engineer's have achieved
weight savings of up to 215kg over the outgoing car, thanks to an
newly-developed monocoque bodyshell. The best-selling engine in
Europe is likely to be a 2.2-litre diesel with 194bhp and 421Nm of
torque. High-tech features include keyless entry, push-button start and
an in-mirror reversing camera. Full details and pricing will be revealed just before the Sorento goes on sale in the UK on February 1 2010.
