Mercedes E-Class Estate
The German giant is set to launch the most practical E-Class ever! Mercedes’ executive has always led the way for interior space in estate guise, but the 2010 model packs a best-ever 1,950 litres of boot capacity. What’s more, an optional rear-facing bench seat turns it into a seven-seater.

We drove the new E-Class estate back in October, and found that the supple ride and class-leading refinement made it the perfect companion for long trips. If it’s a sporty experience you’re looking for, then the hot E63 AMG version will be for you. A raft of safety features, including a blindspot alert system and nine airbags, makes the E-Class estate one of the most accomplished and safest family cars on the market. We’ll have to wait until next autumn to find
out if it has the beating of BMW’s new 5-Series Touring, though.
