The latest to arrive, but the Zoe hatchback from 2012 will likely be the biggest seller out of all Renault’s electric stable.
The Clio-sized supermini will grow out of its concept coupe playfulness to become a genuinely useful suburban runabout, according to Renault.

Although likely to be popular for local trips, the Zoe will have a range of 100 miles and a top speed of 84mph for longer journeys.
And if it gets caught short, it too will have the facility to swap batteries using Renault’s nifty Quickdrop exchange facility.
After a quick run in the concept we loved its quietness and responsiveness, and concluded that that if the high-battery price and charging infrastructure are addressed, the nippy little Renault would make a great second car.
