Pronounced Ar-nez, the compact family car shares a platform with sister firm Kia's Cee'd, which will also debut at this month's Paris Motor Show. A production version is set to appear in March, with the Arnejs due in the summer. Engines will be similar to those of the Cee'd: 1.4, 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol units, plus a 1.6-litre diesel.
With both Korean firms pushing to move upmarket, the Hyundai's cabin will feature soft-touch materials and leather. There might also be hot hatch and coupé-cabriolet versions of the car. Prices will start from £11,500.
