Mega-mile Saab finally clocks off

British driver clocks up over a million miles in Saab

A Saab 900 owned by Brit Peter Gilbert clocked up 1,001,385 miles and survived eight deer collisions before he gave it to a car museum in Hartford, Wisconsin, US.

"When I hit 600,000 miles, it still wasn't burning oil, so I knew it could go to a million," said Gilbert. He has now bought another Saab.
