Special Corvette marks success

The Corvette is a dream machine for millions of enthusiasts worldwide, but this version of the US muscle car is set to be even more desirable

Limited Corvette Z06 gets white paint and red stripes on front wings

19th April 2007

To celebrate the car's run of victories in the American Le Mans racing series, a special version of the coupé has been created. Called the Z06 Ron Fellows edition, it's named after the Canadian driver who has scored multiple ALMS wins. The model comes in white with red stripes on the wings that bear his autograph. Under the skin is the 505bhp V8 from the standard Z06, which takes the car from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds.

Only 399 Ron Fellows models are being built, but UK buyers need to be especially quick, as only six will be sold here. The price could be a sticking point, though - the limited edition may be rare, but at £69,185, it costs nearly twice as much as it does in the US.
