MINI and 207 CC are a smash hit

Small doesn't mean unsafe, as new NCAP results prove

Small cars with big safety - that's MINI's Cooper and the Peugeot 207 CC, which each achieved five stars for occupant protection in the Euro NCAP crash tests.

Both cars, however, got a poor two-star score in pedestrian safety. The MINI received three stars for child protection, but the French car wasn't tested as rear restraints couldn't be fitted with the front seats in the normal position.
