Service shame of UK buyers

Finding cars with a full service history isn’t as easy as you would think, according to a new survey

17th June 2007

A shocking one in eight of Britain’s motorists fail to get their car serviced on a regular basis, according to fast-fit operator Kwik-Fit. And incredibly, two per cent of drivers never service their motor at all! A spokesman for the firm said: “While MoTs check a car’s roadworthiness once a year, regular maintenance and servicing is crucial.

“This helps to keep a car in good running order and minimises the chances of developing problems that could be costly to repair and inconvenient.”
