German sensation Sebastian Vettel has secured the second Toro Rosso seat for the rest of the 2007 season and 2008. The 20-year-old (right) replaced Scott Speed at last weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix after the American was sacked following a row with the team at the European GP last month.
Vettel became the youngest man to score a Formula One point when he stood in for BMW’s Robert Kubica at the US GP. BMW boss Mario Theissen explained: “The current testing rules mean Sebastian rarely gets a chance to drive for us. Now, he has the opportunity to really prove his worth.”
