Brazilians on the ball in new series

The links between motorsport and football are growing!

This follows news that Renault F1 boss Flavio Briatore is set to complete a £30m deal to buy QPR. Briatore’s move comes in the wake of speculation linking F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone to a takeover of Arsenal. Meanwhile, Brazilian side Flamengo (car pictured right) have joined the new Superleague Formula race series featuring 750bhp, V12 single-seaters, due to launch in 12 months. AC Milan, FC Porto and PSV have also signed up.
