Forgot to tick the sunroof option on your new motor? If so, then this natty kit could solve your problems. For £12.50, US company Decano is offering a stick-on substitute!

The bizarre kit is little more than a self-adhesive laminated panel with a scratch-resistant glass-like finish. But its maker claims you simply place it on the bodywork for an authentic high-specification look. Obviously the illusion is shattered as soon as you climb aboard, but the firm is working on that, too.

Rumours suggest that a version showing a starry night sky from the inside is in development, together with fake controls for the non-existent tilt and slide functions...
