Honda sights set on 2008

Jenson Button will be racing a new-look Honda at this weekend’s Japanese GP.

27th September 2007

It features a bridge wing across its nose cone, similar to the device already seen on McLaren’s car.

But Honda is playing down hopes of an aerodynamic breakthrough at its home race, saying that the revamped car is being used as a test bed for development of its 2008 chassis. “We’re not expecting it to be any quicker,” said Button. “The car is slow in a straight line and has no grip in the corners.”
