Hands-free shrinks to fit

ear piece

13th July 2008

As with mobile phones, each new generation of in-ear hands-free kit seems smaller than the last, and the M11 from Argard continues that trend. The headset weighs 10.5 grammes, and is no bigger than the average car keys.

It features Bluetooth 2.0 technology, so will suit most mobiles, and has a massive 170 hours of standby time, plus five-and-a-half hours’ talk time. The directional microphone ensures you are always heard, while electronic and acoustic wind noise reduction promises top-quality sound even when your car’s windows are down. Echo reduction is included for closed spaces, too.

The blend of matt and gloss finishes is accentuated by the multifunction metal buttons, which control volume and more. Voice dialling is supported, while last number recall is activated by a single switch. Charging is via the supplied mains power pack, while a mini USB slot lets you revive it via your computer.

An adjustable ear plug and three different-sized ear buds make the headset comfortable for all, while the LED indicates the headset’s status.
