Hummer goes gangsta

It looks as if off-roading giant Hummer has got its range all wrapped up. The latest special edition from the struggling 4x4 maker – the Black Chrome edition – is as bling as its name implies. Coming exclusively to Europe, it gets ‘gangsta’ black chrome finish on the grille, kick plates and 21-inch wheels.

There are three new paint colours, including Sedona Metallic, as seen here. And no H2 owner worth his salt would be happy without luxury – so leather trim also comes as standard. Only 1,300 of the 4x4s are being produced, presumably because of July’s 61 per cent worldwide sales drop compared to the same period last year. A GM spokeswoman said it’s undecided whether the car would be sold in the UK.
