Citroen star Sebastien Loeb was in seventh heaven after a dominant victory in Rally Germany. The reigning world champ has now notched up an incredible seven wins in a row on the challenging, all-tarmac event.
He was followed home by team-mate Dani Sordo, while Belgian asphalt ace Francois Duval completed the podium in a privately entered Ford Focus. Loeb initially came under pressure from title rival Mikko Hirvonen. The factory Ford driver set a string of fast times, before a puncture at the end of the second day saw him drop to fourth at the flag.
The new Subaru Imprezas of Petter Solberg and Chris Atkinson came home in fifth and sixth respectively. The teams now travel halfway around the world for the New Zealand rally on 28 August.
