Car crime mapped out

Vandalism, car thefts and jackings mean cities can be dangerous places for motorists. But a new website that maps out London’s most crime-ridden areas now lets drivers check how safe their vehicle really is.

Simply enter your postcode into the site’s search engine and it will produce statistics on the level of car crime in that area. The number of burglaries and robberies in the borough is also included in the online report. The results include the average crime rate and the number of ‘hits’ committed each month.
