| Ferrari’s new F70 will not only be faster and more focused than the Enzo, but smaller, lighter and more fuel efficient, too | |

Just like the Enzo, the F70 will be strictly limited to a production run of 399 examples, adhering to Ferrari’s philosophy of always building one less car than you think you can sell. But not just anyone will be able to put their name on the waiting list. Buyers will need to be personally invited by Ferrari to stump up the expected million (£600,000) asking price when the car goes on sale in 2012.

This computer-generated image looks hideous, so I thank God for Pininfarina - atleast they never disappoint. But 1tonne kerb weight sounds like the F50 GT's true successor more than anything else - WOW !
It the figures are actually what it says; this will be a true Ferrari except it doesn't look exotic.
The concept is fantastic and just what Ferrari needs to put those Veyron likes where they belong, and as pointed out by vazirncars; I am sure Pininfarina will breath their magic and make it look as fantastic as ever. Let's face it, what ever Ferrari do next they are their own worse enemies with the 458 nearly eclipsing the Enzo, this means their new flagship has to be really special, and I am sure it will be.
copied the Nissan Primera... go on, check it out... the same ugly nose and air intake!
The first thing I thought...."Batmobile" - I wonder what it looks like in black?! Yeah....I'm not sure about this design. Batman might like it.
This is the P 4/5 http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z11835/Ferrari-P4/5.aspx
A customers bespoke custom car, with cues from a classic ferrari...are ferrari using this as their inspiration?
It doesn't look that great to me ...
WELL JUST LIKE THE ENZO THIS CAR IS NOT THE BEST LOOKING CAR IN THE WORLD ITS NOSEE IS JUST WRONG
BUT STILL I RESPECT THIS CAR 5/5 ***** THANKS ANYWAY IT WONT BE IN PRODUCTION 4 A WHILE I THINK
:) ;) :D
Don't know about you guys, but these pictures look to me more likely to be prototype designs for the recently launched 458? Note the headlight and taillight positions, air intake positions and wheelbase/ glasshouse positions. Most probably we're looking here at the 458 Stradale. Remember the 458 has been described as so all-round competitive that a Stradale version is no longer necessary... Maybe instead Ferrari plan an even more special Stradale now...?
The facts and figures for the F70 sound promising. We'll have to wait and see a bit more before accurate designs are leaked.

Think back to legendary twin-turbo Ferraris of the past, and it’s hard to see beyond the ferocious F40 – the first production model to top the magical 200mph barrier. However, the firm’s first road car application of dual chargers was in the precursor to the F40 – the 288 GTO (below). Its 2.8-litre V8 was boosted to 400bhp, for scintillating pace, and giving Ferrari buyers their first taste of what forced induction was really capable of.
