Is it just me or does this design look a little too 'American' in terms of styling for UK and Europe tastes? The front end looks like many american sedans. The backend is better though...
Speaking of Calibras, I still laugh my t*ts off when it rains - my neighbour has an old style Calibra and the rear end is so flat and level that it catches rainwater on the rear hatch in pools wonderfully.

Here's an interesting idea, and I hope GM Europe are listening: Use the Vauxhall brand for GM's mainstream European models and keep the Opel monica for it's performance and luxury vehicles.
If a revised and shortened version of the GTC Concept is being considered, it should absolutely be released as an Opel Manta, and the top spec, fire snorting version should be the Manta Ray!
It looks okay but, when you pull up, somewhere, Its still only going to be a Vauxhall. If it launched in the UK it needs to called an Opel.
Its a shame GM didn't keep the Pontiac marque, for stuff like this.
I agree totally with sgtgrash & Madsteve7. Given that the Vauxhall brand is only seen in the UK, isn't it time to start selling the upmarket/sporty versions as Opels here, and gradually phase out Vauxhall? Other than for reasons of tradition, it doesn't really make sense to continue with the Vauxhall brand in just one country, though I acknowledge that the some of the same models under the Holden badge are sold only in Australia.
