Kangoo and Berlingo

Renault's latest Kangoo and Citroen Berlingo caught hot weather testing

12th July 2007

Ten years after the Renault Kangoo’s first public appearance, here are early spy-shots of the successor of the first generation, snapped undergoing hot-weather testing in the south of Europe.

While dimensions won’t change much over the current model, the new Kangoo will be more modern in every aspect. From what can be seen so far it is clear that all windows as well as the mirrors will become bigger allowing a better overview. Also note the high-mounted taillights and the newly designed headlamp units.

With the 68- and 84-bhp dCi turbodiesels likely to be the biggest sellers, Renault will again offer a 75- and a 95-bhp petrol engine, too. We expect the car to be at the dealers in summer 2008. That goes also for the Kangoo’s strongest competitor, the Citroen Berlingo, which was tested in the same location at the same time the Kangoo was put through its paces. We can well imagine the evenings at the hotel bar where both test teams met for some small-talk...
