After a tumultuous 2014, marked by two changes of team principal and its first season without a win since 1993, Ferrari seems to have turned a corner over the winter following the signing of Sebastian Vettel from Red Bull.

Both he and team-mate Kimi Raikkonen made positive noises about the car in testing and the hybrid powerplant now seems to be strong and reliable. As ever, Ferrari isn’t short of resources, and if any team can make sufficient gains over the season to challenge Mercedes, this is it. The fresh environment should benefit Vettel, too.

Our verdict: Needs to get back to winning ways in 2015. If Vettel settles into his new surroundings quickly, he could become a thorn in the side of the Mercedes pair.
