Geneva Motor Show gallery: Best of the rest

We round up the weird and wonderful cars on display at the 2013 Geneva show

By:Auto Express team
5 Mar 2013
  • Pink Hamann Range Rover

Looking a lot like Katie Price ordered it, this rather ridiculous Range Rover will become one of the show’s most-photographed cars.

  • Hyundai i20 WRC

Latest version of Hyundai’s i20 World Rally Car gets a new orange, black and blue livery complete with Korean text, and new suspension.

  • McLaren F1 LM

XP1 Prototype version of McLaren’s F1 racer in trademark orange was almost as much of a head-turner as the firm’s new P1 supercar.

  • Brown Bugatti Veyron

Not one but three Bugatti Veyrons are on display at Geneva, this Grand Sport edition model gets a fetching brown lacquered paint finish.

  • Koenigsegg Agera Hundra

Special Agera marks the 100th example of the Swedish supercar, complete with carbon-fibre-wheels and black and yellow paint.

  • Touring Superleggera Disco Volante

Alfa Romeo 8C-based Disco Volante was inspired by the Alfa C52 Disco Volante of 1952. Each takes six months to build.

  • Pagani Huayra

Latest supercar from Pagani slightly overshadowed by Ferrari, McLaren and Lamborghini. Still not the best supercar to look at either…

  • Speedi electric car

Austrian-made two-seater Speedi electric car features a 5kW electric motor and can hit 28mph flat out – makes the name seem rather ironic.

  • Dacia Duster

Our sister website’s Car of the Year 2013, the Dacia Duster looks good with a rugged set of spotlights on its roof.

  • Subaru 360

Tiny Subaru was the first car mass-produced by the Japanese firm. Power comes from a 16bhp two-cylinder engine. The whole car weighs 385kg.

  • VW Polo R WRC

Volkswagen’s striking Polo R WRC on display at Geneva. The WRC car celebrated its first win in Sweden, driven by Sebastian Ogier.

  • EDAG Car Sharing

This electric-powered six-seater is the car equivalent of a Boris bike – you just hire one as and when you need to get from A to B.

  • Toyota i-ROAD

Toyota demonstrated the leaning capabilities of its tiny electric two-seater with a track that weaves around the firm’s motor show stand.

  • Hamann G-Wagen

Tuner Hamann’s catchphrase is “understatement is so yesterday.” And it’s hard not to agree with this outlandish wide-body G-Class.

  • Tata Safari Storme Mountain Rescue

Ski-resort-themed version of Tata’s Safari SUV, complete with snow chains, a snorkel and hi-vis red paint.

  • Mazda MX-5 racing game

If your Mazda MX-5 racer’s chassis takes a hit from behind, at least you know you could turn it into the ultimate play station.

  • Amphicar

Nice to see a display of German-made Amphicars at Geneva. Built during the 1960s, they were powered by a 38bhp engine from a Triumph Herald.

  • IED Gloria

Stylish concept gets a well-known admirer. Look in the background and you can see former BMW design boss Chris Bangle checking out this work.

  • Jaguar XK120

There’s no harm in plundering your heritage for the arrival of the F-Type when it looks as good as this old Jag.

  • Morgan 3-Wheeler

A pair of Morgan’s 3-Wheelers look great at Geneva, particularly in the famous Gulf livery, with contrasting yellow-walled tyres.

  • MINI X-raid Dakar winner

Stephane Peterhansel has won the Dakar rally 11 times, most recently in this rugged 300bhp diesel-powered X-raid MINI.

  • Mansory Golf Cart

Tuner Mansory usually gains attention for its outlandish supercar bodykits, but this time, the firm’s custom golf cart looked quite smart.

  • Rinspeed Micro Max

Always reliable for a unique vehicle concept, Swiss firm Rinspeed’s Micro Max features special “standing seats” for short trips.

  • Fornasari Hunter

Looking more like a cardboard box than car, the four-wheel drive Hunter is powered by a 7.0-litre V8 and can hit 199mph. Apparently.

  • Delorean DMC-12

Who needs a McLaren P1 when you can time travel? The Delorean still looks unique thanks to its stainless-steel body and gullwing doors.

  • AC Schnitzer BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe

German BMW tuner AC Schnitzer makes the 6 Series Gran Coupe stand out with a matt copper wrap, chrome trim and big wheels.
