Nissan Micra (new)

It's one of the UK’s cutest superminis, but the Micra isn’t proving a satisfying car to own. The main problem is you can’t get comfortable. Only three cars performed worse in this area, and the poor ride exacerbates things. Still, the Micra remains a car that’s easy to drive, cheap to run and pretty reliable, too.

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

Bad news! Nissan posts mid-table results for running costs and practicality, but falls well behind elsewhere. The Qashqai is a sales hit – let’s hope it can influence the firm’s position next year.
