Family car buyers have shifted towards SUVs in recent years, but the Zafira’s 54th place shows it’s a fine all-rounder. Of the latest MPVs, only the Ford S-MAX and VW Touran rank higher than it for practicality. However, the Zafira fares badly for running costs, and while it’s roomy, it’s not that comfortable.
