BMW 3-Series (old)

a traditional class favourite, this 3-Series’ mid-place ranking shows that it’s still very satisfying to own. Running costs and practicality are marked down and, as it gets older, reliability is starting to suffer, too. Elsewhere, it’s good news with classic rear-drive handling, strong performance, solid build and respectable comfort levels.

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

With solid build quality and an engaging driving experience, there’s plenty of satisfaction to be had in a BMW. You would like to see more in the way of practicality, though.
