Jaguar X-Type

Although not a huge sales success, you tell us that in terms of engineering and design, the X-Type punches well above its weight. The executive saloon has earned itself a reputation for being a smooth-driving, comfortable package with a decent turn of speed. But on the downside, the brakes are well below par, while running costs are high.

MANUFACTURER VERDICT

The big cat is back on form, overtaking all its German rivals. Taking a class victory for ride quality and offering lusty engines, Jaguars make their owners extremely happy indeed.
