If this really is a racing car cum roadster, its a great deal. To buy a full racing car with this sort of potential costs a lot more than this. try buying a used WRC car and you'll pay over £100K, so this is great. No doubt the race series to this will be great fun but not for the faint of heart. After all, this is super performance without any shielding for the driver. Would I want this as a road going car? No way. This is an accident waiting to happen for a lorry or something else to run over you because you're too small and low to be seen.
"the trick is to use a higher gear than you think. This allows the car to be just as fast, but less nervous, in corners. When you do hit the limiter, though, a red flashing light on the central display alerts you via your peripheral vision that it’s time for the next ratio"
.......................... probably mean "lower" gear than you think??
This is a track car, nothing else.
"You can drive your X-Bow home once the racing’s done."
Sure you can. Equally you can jump red lights. You'll probably last as long.
