I was lucky enough to be invited to the Saatchi Gallery two months ago to view the stunning and important new Jaguar XJ sports saloon.
My understanding was that it would be officially launched at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show but I see no mention of it at all in this latest special AutoExpress communication from Frankfurt.
What happened ... ?

Mini fever at AutoExpress - Official!

Had to laugh at the pic for the Frankfurt Show above. Hmmm, I bet the editor was thinking, 'Umm, what car should we show a pic of...umm...oh, I know, a MINI!

If someone at AutoExpress isn't taking a backhander from BMW over the incessant pictures and features on the MINI, then they are REALLY missing a trick!

Even when you featured the ten safest cars recently, you showed a picture of a MINI in a crash test! Thing is, the MINI didn't feature in the top ten!!!

It's so blatant and ridiculous. There's 'product placement' and there's annoying product placement. Please stop it. Open ANY weekly copy from the past two years and there WILL be a MINI featured somewhere in the issue, even though there won't necessarily be a Corsa, or a Fiesta etc. But ALWAYS a MINI!

Meanwhile AutoCar is at it with...wait for it...BMW!

Brown envelopes...
