Practicality: the seven-seater is as adept at hauling people as it is at swallowing luggage. It even saw service for features editor Mat Watson at a car boot sale.
Off-road: In low-ratio mode, the SUV is awesome. Its diesel ticks over, pulling the car through water or sticky mud, up hills and down steep gradients.
Equipment: It's not a luxurious car, but with a rear view camera, voice command sat-nav and keyless starting, the Nissan has executive-beating kit.
