The Lexus LF-LC Blue concept has been unveiled at the Australian International Motor Show

The Lexus LF-LC Blue concept has been revealed at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.

The LF-LC Blue is a version of the LF-LC sports car that was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year. Whereas the concept shown in Detroit was finished in a glossy red colour, the Lexus LF-LC Blue concept is painted in Opal Blue, which Lexus claims is “inspired by the natural base colour of the Australian gemstone.”

The Lexus LF-LC is a 2+2 with a targa-style roof. The concept’s design will influence the next generation of Lexus cars, and features a new version of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, which has been engineered to deliver 500bhp - its highest power output yet.

At present, the Lexus LF-LC will inspire rather than join the next-generation range of Lexus cars. However, Lexus claims it is “actively studying how it can engineer and build a vehicle like this in the future.” A production model would be designed to rival the Aston Martin DB9.
