Italian sports car maker confirms Maserati Kubang SUV will go into production
The Maserati Kubang has been confirmed for production. The Italian sports car firm announced that the new SUV had been given the green light at the Detroit Motor Show, and that it will be built at Chrysler’s Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit.
However, to bring its performance into line with the rest of the Maserati range, it will feature a revised steering rack, sports suspension, uprated brakes and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Under the bonnet, will be a new V8 built by Ferrari in Maranello, Italy.
Inside, the Kubang will have a luxury interior inspired by the Quattroporte, with soft leather and wood used throughout.
