Alfa Romeo LF

Alfa drop-top's in a spin

This stunning sports car really raises the roof when it comes to convertible technology...

Alfa Romeo LF
Wild Alfa LF study was unveiled at car design show in Italy

07th December 2006

This is  Alfa Romeo's new LF, and although it's only a concept, it could eventually replace the Brera Spyder.

Featuring a roof produced by Italian hood expert Fioravanti, it's no ordinary drop-top. Thanks to the firm's patented design, the glass roof rotates and flips back on itself to lie flat on the rear deck, similar in concept to the Ferrari 575M Superamerica, which Fioravanti developed in 2005.

With headlamps that stretch up to the corners of the windscreen, a bold Alfa shield grille on the nose and slim tail-lights, the LF is nearly as striking as the Prancing Horse model. The new two-seater was revealed at a show in Italy this week, which is held to celebrate innovative car designs. As well as the LF, 70 other models were on display.
