Wind-powered sun king blows in

An electric three-seater runabout powered by the sun and wind will go on sale in June

18th December 2006

The Mini Moke-inspired Venturi Eclectic has a solar panel on its roof but, if there's no sun, a wind turbine can be erected to charge the battery. "It's independent of fuel stations," said stylist Sacha Lakic. Eclectics, which are made in Monte Carlo, will cost £16,300, but that's set to fall to £10,200 by 2009.
