Suzuki reveals Tokyo concepts

Suzuki has revealed two new show stars set to take centre stage at the Tokyo Motor Show this month.

X marks the spot for Suzuki’s new X-Head concept! Set to make its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, this chunky truck will go on display alongside a new concept version of the firm’s next generation Ford Mondeo rival.

The X-Head’s screwdriver inspired name gives away its utilitarian intentions. Pointing the way to future versions of the Jimny, the rugged pick-up has several bolt-on bits to add to its versatility. If you want to sleep inside, the Camper unit converts the flatbed into a two man sleeping area, while the Rescue kit houses equipment for the emergency services.

A model closer to production is the Kizashi 2. A follow-up to the family friendly show car revealed by Suzuki at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the new model has had a fresh paintjob and a few design tweaks. Expect to see the final production version next year.
