There are busy times ahead for BMW, after the German company announced a raft of new models across its range of brands.
These include a MINI SUV, which Auto Express revealed in Issue 965. Likely to be based on the Clubman, this car will feature raised suspension and tough body cladding.
BMW is also planning a compact off-roader, based on the 1-Series. Called the X1, it will sit below the X3 in the line-up and blend coupé styling cues with off-road elements.
In addition, a four-door grand tourer – inspired by the CS concept seen at this year’s Shanghai Motor Show – is on the drawing board. And Auto Express has also learned that the manufacturer is planning a two-seater supercar, which will be named the M10. Intended as a rival to the Audi R8, it’s set to be powered by a 500bhp 5.0-litre V10.
A twin-turbo 5-Series, badged 555i, is on the cards as well, while BMW-owned Rolls-Royce has given its 101EX cabrio the green light.
