It’s not only a pair of hot Fords that performance fans have to look forward to. When the Mitsubishi Evo X goes on sale in March, it will start from £27,499 for the entry-level 290bhp FQ-300 model.
But those after more muscle will be pleased to hear that even hotter FQ-330 and FQ-360 versions, priced at £30,499 and £35,499 respectively, will be offered, too.
All Evo Xs will be available in two trim levels. The base-spec GS includes Mitsubishi’s Super All Wheel Drive (S-AWC) system, 18-inch alloy wheels and Recaro front seats.
Higher grade GSR costs an extra £2,500 and includes sat-nav plus an upgraded stereo. Mitsubishi’s dual-clutch SST paddleshift transmission adds £2,000 to the cost of the GSR, but this is only available as an option on the least powerful FQ-300 variant. All other models have a five-speed manual transmission.
Meanwhile, prices for the Lancer saloon have also been announced. It costs £12,499 for the manual 1.5-litre petrol GS1, rising to £18,499 for the fully loaded 2.0-litre diesel GS4.
