Fiat is chasing zero emissions with its electric Topolino, but the Bravo is doing its bit to reduce carbon dioxide, too. The firm has launched the Bravo Eco (above), which is aimed squarely at rivals such as the VW Golf Bluemotion and Ford Focus ECOnetic. Prices start at £14,150 for Active spec, rising to £15,150 for the range-topping Dynamic version.

The diesel-powered Bravo boasts impressive economy of 62.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 119g/km, but does it make its rivals green with envy? Turn to Page 28 for our exclusive first drive.
