1. Volkswagen Passat CC Eco Performance

This special Passat CC is not only about a set of fancy rims. The Eco Performance has a triple-turbo system giving three modes for your moods. In Full Power setting it offers 307bhp. Switch to GT, and you get 249bhp. There is also a 219bhp Eco mode. The car also gives better fuel economy than a 2.0-litre TSI.

2. Chevrolet Camaro

Of the many Camaro concepts on show at SEMA, these two machines were the pick of the bunch. The LS7 takes its inspiration from the COPO Camaros of the Sixties – and boasts a 542bhp LS7 engine.

3. Chevrolet Camaro GS concept

The Camaro GS Racecar concept has lightweight panels, uprated mechanicals and Trans Am Series decals.

4. Toyota Yaris

MV Designz in Southern California took a Yaris and turned the hatchback into an electrically operated split tailgate. It added suicide back doors and created the Toyota Yaris Tailback.

5. Toyota Yaris Club

The Yaris Club by Five Axis Design as a real show-stopper. The car is a tribute to Toyota’s racing heritage of the late Sixties.

6. Honda Jazz

We test Honda’s new baby on Page 46 of this week's mag – but tuner Mugen has jazzed up the outgoing US model (badged Fit). Extras include 16-inch alloys, an aluminium oil filler cap, sports grille and a collection of spoilers. Parts on this show car will be available to US buyers through Honda dealers.

7. Mercedes GLK

A more strangely proportioned car you will never see! Based on the Mercedes GLK, this is the Urban Whip by Boulevard Customs. The transformation from SUV to roadster was made possible by removing the pillars and cutting the screen in half. It was finished off with 26-inch wheels and a 5,700-watt stereo!
