Auto Express Car Reviews
Tata’s latest offering is creating a buzz at the Bologna motorshow! That’s because the Indian firm’s new Indica EV is an all-electric plug in vehicle.
The newcomer packs a high tech polymer lithium ion battery that the company claims has superior energy density compared to the current
best-in-class electric vehicles.
This gives it a practical 200km range and a 0-60mph of under 10 seconds. Meanwhile the car can be fully charged in eight hours and will carry four people.
The maker says it’s still testing the technology, however, ahead of its European launch next summer. Prices still haven’t been decided.
Meanwhile, the firm says its Nano city car goes into production in January, but won’t go on sale in the UK until at least 2011.
