Hyundai is planning to unveil an all-new concept at this year’s Geneva Expo, Auto Express can reveal. Sporting a dramatic new look, the compact HED-6 gives a clear indication of how the firm’s next-generation of SUV’s will shape up, and judging by this teaser sketch the future looks bright.
The show car’s muscular styling features swept back headlights, a hexagonal grille and completes its look with a set of mirror-finish 21-inch alloys. Innovations include a sculpted rear window made from hi-tech plastic instead of regular glass and LED daytime running lights, while under the bonnet there’s a more conventional 175bhp 1.6-litre diesel.
Also on display at Geneva will be a sporty three-door version of the i20, due to go on sale in the second quarter of 2009, and the ultra-frugal i30 blue – the first model to feature Hyundai’s ISG stop-start technology.
